David Warner’s daughters led the cheer for Sunrisers Hyderabad who defeated Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets in Hyderabad on Wednesday. 2019 IPL table toppers CSK played without MS Dhoni and went down to the 2018 IPL runners-up SRH after a poor batting display.
Chennai Super Kings had decided to bat after stand-in skipper Suresh Raina won the toss. As Sunrisers Hyderabad got ready to take the field, Warner’s younger daughter held up a sign which said: “Go Daddy.”

Rashid Khan’s brilliant spell of 2 for 17 off 4 overs kept Chennai Super Kings to 132 for 5 and SRH chased down the targer of 133 to win their 4th match of the season.
And as David Warner, the Orange Cap holder this season, started off on a brisk note, his elder daughter waived the SRH flag as wife Candice watched on from the stands.
This has been an emotional return to the Indian Premier League for David Warner. Last year, Warner and Steve Smith were given one-year bans over their role in the ball-tampering scandal. Warner came back for SRH with a bang and is the leading scorer in the 2019 IPL while Smith has struggled to find his touch again.
Both David Warner and Steve Smith were named in Australia’s World Cup squad which will be led by Aaron Finch.
David Warner has already hit a hundred in the 2019 IPL and with Jonny Bairstow, has provided a formbidable opening partnership for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
